Our mission statement is: healing the world through hugs. There are far too many children in the world whose daily lives are impacted by war, poverty, and other scary things.
Teddy Bears for Peace aims to provide comfort through a cuddly friend.

At the age of 12, Charlotte Reese began making hand sewn teddy bears as a service project.
Teddy Bears for Peace has since grown into an after-school club and non-profit organization.
Our bears have traveled worldwide,
most recently to Tanzania.

The Teddy Bears for Peace team is comprised of Middle and High School Students who meet weekly to participate in all stages of making the teddy bears by hand:
cutting fabric, embroidering the teddy bears' sweet faces, sewing the bears, and stuffing them to achieve maximum cuddle-ability!
A Note from our Founder
